- Can all types of punch presses be equipped with a feeder?Yes. Feeders can generally be installed on punch presses ranging from 3 to 2000 tons. The selection depends on the material type, width, thickness, feed length, and feed speed.
- Is it cost-effective to retrofit an old press with a feeder?Absolutely. Adding a feeder reduces manual loading, lowers labor costs, improves stamping efficiency, and minimizes workplace injuries. Payback periods are typically short.
- Does a feeder require a separate leveling (straightening) machine?For medium-thick materials or poorly flattened coils, a leveling machine is necessary. For narrow strips with good flatness, the feeder alone is sufficient.
- Are the leveling rolls different for thin and thick sheets?Yes. Thin sheets typically use multiple fine rolls for precise leveling, while thick sheets require reinforced or oversized rolls to handle higher pressure without deformation.
